Ridge Caps – Reliable Roof Finish for Trapezoidal, Standing Seam, and Tile Effect Sheets

Our ridge caps form the top finish of every roof and reliably protect the roof structure from penetrating moisture, wind, and dirt.

At the same time, they ensure a clean, visually appealing roofline and – depending on the version – allow for effective ventilation of the roof space.

Whether it is a gable roof, pent roof, or standing seam roof – we offer the matching ridge cap for every roof shape and profile in various sizes, materials, and colors.

Function and Areas of Application

The ridge cap is a central structural element for the roof finish at the highest point (ridge). It protects the joint between two roof surfaces and directs rainwater safely away. In ventilated versions, air circulation in the roof space is also supported to prevent moisture buildup.

Our ridge caps are suitable for:

• Trapezoidal sheets (e.g., T18, T20, T35, T45)

• Standing seam sheets (e.g., PD 510)

• Tile effect sheets (e.g., Mona, Arad, Germania)

• Pent roofs and flat roofs

Variants at a Glance

• Rectangular Ridge Cap (Standard)

  Classic roof ridge for trapezoidal and standing seam sheets. Available with 145/145 mm or 200/200 mm leg lengths.

  Optional ventilation function for an optimal roof climate.

• Mono-Pitch (Pent) Ridge Cap

  Specially for pent roofs and low-slope roof finishes. Available in 150/150 mm sizes and as an aluminum variant.

• Barrel Ridge (Small & Large)

  Round-shaped ridge caps for tile effect sheets such as Mona or Arad. Ensures a harmonious, classic look and a long-lasting seal.

• Custom Shaped Ridge Cap

  Adapted to special roof pitches and profile types (e.g., roof panel IRYD or standing seam systems). Also available in aluminum.

All variants are available in a standard length of 2.00 m. We can manufacture individual lengths up to 6.00 m upon request.

Installation and Assembly

Ridge caps are mounted with an overlap (usually approx. 7 cm) on the upper roof edges. Fastening is done with self-drilling screws into the high ribs of the roofing sheet. For optimal sealing, we recommend using profile fillers and sealing tapes under the ridge.
